My training has been going really well. I’m currently on my 4th week of Joe Daniels 8 week KB only muscle gain program. I’m pressing numbers that I didn’t think I could. Everyday is a new challenge and I haven’t found myself bored at all. I feel stronger and more powerful while also dropping body fat. The one area I need to work on is my flexibility and mobility.
I really love working with Joe and I signed up for his follow up 6 week complex program. One of the things I instantly liked about Joe was when I first started he was always there with tips and answered questions and didn’t try to sell me on anything. He’s just a good dude and that goes a long way with me. I’m really looking forward to seeing what I achieve in the new year.
Yesterday I was a guest on The Platform Podcast. It’s a really good kettlebell/fitness/life podcast and I was honored to be asked to be on. Jordan Kunde-Wright is the host and creator and he was awesome to work with. I was terribly nervous before going on but then it was like just catching up with an old friend. Also learned that he is a fellow Eagles fan so we hit it off right away. He’s lost a bunch of weight and kept it off for a long time so he’s definitely an inspiration to me. We had a great time just shooting the shit and the hour flew by. I look forward to catching a game at the Linc with Jordan in the future!
I still find it odd that anyone wants to hear my story but I’m happy I can help inspire others. So far it’s been a crazy ride since April. I’ve had the opportunity to meet some amazing people online and people that I’ve admired and respected for years in the fitness industry. The funny part is the people that should and could have the biggest egos are really down to earth kind people who genuinely like to help others. I want to set this kind of example for my son. I really want to be the best father and husband I can be although I don’t always live up to mine or others expectations but I’m not going to stop striving for better. 2020 has been a mess for most of us and I’ve seen the ugly side of people all over social media but I’ve also seen the best in a lot of us. I hope we get to share more positives in the new year!
