I hope everyone had a happy and safe new year. yesterday, January 3rd, I celebrated my 43rd birthday. One of my friends made me an amazing pumpkin cheesecake and it was incredible. It was a great day!
Over the holidays I put on a few pounds. I don’t regret it because I enjoyed the time with my family and I’ve been dieting hard since April. Normally when this happens I would freak out and crash diet but I’m older and wiser. Instead of going that route I hired a nutrition coach. I’ll now be working with Jordan Kunde-Wright of Twin City Kettlebells for all my nutritional needs. It’s once less aspect I have to stress over. I had an hour long consultation with him and he really impressed me with his knowledge, organization and data driven approach so it was an easy decision to make.
Today I started my 6th week of the KB only muscle gain program by Joe Daniels. I can’t believe it’s almost over. I still feel like I’m learning so much and I’m having so much fun doing this. Joe is a great coach and person in general and I highly recommend him. You can tell he is passionate about helping people and he gives away a ton of knowledge. I love people that are passionate about what they do. You can find him at Swingthiskettlebell on IG, www.thekettlebelllocker.com and https://youtube.com/c/SwingThis1
On a sadder note, today I lost a coworker. My general foreman and someone I looked up to and admired passed away from Covid. He was a hard person to work for but he was fair and treated everyone the same and earning his respect meant a lot to me. I haven’t seen him since March since he’s been working from home due to being in a high risk category. Also my mom was with her best friend last Tuesday and the next day her friend had flu like symptoms. She went and got tested for Covid and her results came back positive today. My mom hasn’t had any symptoms but she has a test scheduled for tomorrow. She is 67 and has asthma so of course I’m worried. We’ll see how it goes.
I hope everyone is ready to make 2021 a better year than 2020 was. I know I’m going to work my ass of to reach my goals and make those who believe in me proud and to prove all those who didn’t wrong.
So sorry about your coworker and wishing your mom a speedy recovery brother.
