Hi everyone! Its been a long time since I’ve updated this blog. So a lot has happened since my last update. I’m down 90 lbs now in my weight loss journey and I’ve started training for Kettlebell Sport and plan on competing for the first time in October.
Kettlbell Sport is amazing but it’s so challenging at the same time. The community is so great though and that’s what really attracted me to it.
Its definitely a sport where you need to check your ego. I’m a pretty big guy and if your following me I’m sure you’ve seen me press and move some heavy bells but if you try that in this sport you’ll soon find out you wont last long. So i’m starting my training with 16 kg bells. I plan on competing in triathlon which is Long Cycle, Jerk and Snatch. I don‘t really care so much about the competitive aspect of it as I just want to better myself. I’m still having technical issues with all my lifts but I’m getting better.
As for my personal life, things are going good. Friday is my youngest sons third birthday and I can’t believe how big he is getting. I’m so proud of both my sons. My oldest is 20 now and doesn’t live with me so I haven’t seen him much lately. On another note me and the wife decided to give Hellofresh food delivery service a try and I have to say that the food is incredibly delicious! We also get so much more variety in our diet now. I’m looking forward to warmer weather and my continuing weight loss. Thank you Jordan for helping me get that aspect in check.
