First off I want to say Happy Holidays to everyone who reads this. Whatever it is you celebrate this time of year I hope you enjoy it and stay safe. I plan to spend the next two days relaxing and not worrying so much about diet but after Christmas right back at it. A good quote I picked up from Pat Flynn and Dan John on Pat’s podcast was to keep the holiday the holiday and then get back to it instead of making it a holiday “season”. Sage advice!!!
I’m looking forward to the new year and finishing what I started this past year with my weight loss journey. I’ve spent the last 4 weeks working with Joe Daniels of SwingThisKettlebell and www.thekettlebelllocker.com and I’m loving it and plan to keep on going with him. He’s always been there to help and I’m really loving his program and style. I’ve also taken more of an interest in KB sport and I can see getting involved with that in the future. I think the best thing for me to do though is achieve my fat loss goals first. I think my favorite part of this journey so far is how I’ve been able to maintain and even gain strength even though I’ve been in an calorie deficit.
I wanted to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has helped me on this journey the past 8 months. I went from being a 355 coach potato afraid of dying to someone who is much more mobile and in shape, more confident and loves training with kettlebells. I’ve had so many amazing messages and posts on social media that have encouraged me to step out of my shell and post all my workouts in my yard gym. I’m truly blessed with a great wife, sons, family and friends. I hope I can give back and help others like some of the people I look up to have helped me.
God Bless you all and have a safe and happy holidays!!!
